YES, you must be 25 or older to rent a cabin in Big Bear Lake due to city ordinance. Be prepared to present your ID upon in-person check-in and at virtual verification to verify your age.

All guests are required to send in a Virtual Verification (a photo of the reservation holder’s ID and Credit Card) to check-in and will be sent an email with proper check-in instructions on the day of arrival once the cabin is ready.

IF you do not feel comfortable providing a virtual verification, you MUST check-in in-person to enter your cabin. Check-in is located at our office, 41011 Big Bear BLVD.

You MUST be 25 years or older. Check-In Time Check-In is 4 pm! (Holiday check-in is different.)

There is no need to come back to the office. Check-out is at 11 am. Notice Holiday Check Out 10 am.

To check out, please perform a light clean.

  1. Remove all Trash and Recycle from vacation rental when leaving (Trash and Recycle Facilities are located: 39690 Big Bear Blvd. just East of Cienega Rd, Big Bear Lake or 41974 Garstin Rd. across from Moonridge Rd. Big Bear Lake.)
  2. Place all dishes in the dishwasher and start a cycle. Wash any dishes that are not being washed in the dishwasher.
  3. Replace silverware and utensils in proper drawers.
  4. Turn off all appliances (coffee maker, toaster, etc.), lights, and running water.
  5. Turn down linens on used beds.

We cannot always guarantee an early check-in or a late check out until the day of your reservation. We want to make sure the cabin is ready before you check in. NO early check-ins or late check-outs from December 15st – January 10th.

No Cancellations within 14 days of arrival date; payment is non-refundable. Inquire about purchasing Travel Insurance through our insurance vendor.

Prior to 30 days of arrival date, IF a deposit has been charged, a 15% cancellation fee ($150 min) will be charged for any canceled reservation prior to 30 days from the reservation’s check-in date.

Prior to 30 days of arrival date, IF no deposit has been charged, there are FREE cancelations for any canceled reservation prior to 30 days from the reservation’s check-in date.

Bookings canceled within 30 days of the reservation check-in date and at least 14 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund.

Trash disposal at check-out is a citywide ordinance for vacation rentals. If you would like to purchase a trash pick-up, don’t hesitate to contact one of our reservationists. Trash pickup fees are $25 for 10-bags of trash.

All linens are provided except for lake, spa, or pool towels. Please bring towels for lake and spa activities.

Firewood and charcoal are not provided. Propane tanks are at the property but may need to be refilled.

We love to welcome your furry friends IF the cabin you choose is Pet-Friendly. Click HERE to see all of our pet-friendly cabins. We welcome up to two dogs; sorry, no cats welcome.

There is a pet fee, $25 per dog, per night. Please pick up after your pet outdoors, and do not leave your pets unattended! Please bring a pet bed or a crate for your furry friend and bring them with you when you leave for the day. We would love to continue providing pet-friendly homes for guests in the future and ask you to respect the homes as if it were your own. 🙂

Yes, we offer travelers’ insurance! You can purchase it as you make your reservation. Upon using the insurance, you will submit your claim to the insurance company, not Big Bear Lakefront Cabins.

No party, wedding, or other gathering exceeding occupancy limits is permitted at any time. The City of Big Bear Lake enforces this.

We require all reservations to be paid in full 30 days prior to your arrival. We do NOT allow cash or check.

We do not require deposits for reservations prior to 30 days of the arrival date. Within 30-days of arrival, your reservation must be paid in full.

Most cabins in Big Bear do not have A/C. The weather is ideal in the Summer, and breezes are enough to cool down a cabin. We do provide fans within the homes in addition to ceiling fans if asked. Click HERE to search for our cabins with AC.

Some of our cabins allow garage access! Check the cabin description to find out if garage access is allowed in your preferred cabin.

Cabins in Big Bear vary in cost depending on the dates of stay and the size of the cabin.

We require a deposit on SELECT homes. You will be notified if the home you are booking requires a deposit. The deposit is charged before your stay and will be returned to you upon inspection of the home after your stay.

All of our homes are within a few miles of the Big Bear Lake! The distance to the lake is listed in the property description.

Big Bear Lake is public and free to access. You can swim in it as long as you stay within 50 feet of the shoreline.

The first snowfall can be as early as October, but typically, November – March is when snowfall occurs. Check Bens Weather for up-to-date information.

November-March is Big Bears BEST snow months. Some years, it can start in October and end in April.

By law, you must carry chains in your vehicle when traveling the mountains in WINTER months, even if they are not required to be on your tires. At any time, Highway Patrol may stop you to confirm they are in your vehicle. Vehicles with 4-wheel drive also need to carry chains. If you have any questions about the road conditions or whether or not chains are required, the best number to call would be The Road and Snow line at (909) 866-ROAD (7623).

The Big Bear City Code Enforcement and county ordinances prohibit RV parking at any Vacation rental.

If there is space, boat parking is allowed at vacation rentals. You are NOT allowed to launch your boat from any lakefront cabin! Don’t hesitate to contact us at 909-547-6015 to find rentals with room for boat parking.

Street parking is not allowed anywhere in Big Bear. Each property has a maximum number of parking spaces in the driveway; some cabins allow additional garage access.

Yes, the use of an outdoor spa or any other activity that disturbs the peace is prohibited between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am. No noise or loud music is allowed to be heard at the property line at any given time. The city of Big Bear Lake enforces this; code enforcement will be called by neighbors if broken.
