About the Big Bear Paddlefest
Every year, both locals and visitors flock to Big Bear to partake in the Big Bear Paddlefest, also known as Paddle Big Bear. There are multiple adult races and a children’s race that take pace on Big Bear Lake. After the races, participants and viewers gather on the beach for a celebration party!
Registering for Big Bear Paddlefest
If you’re thinking about participating in Big Bear Paddlefest, we recommend pre-registering. If you register online before the event, your registration fee will be lower and you will get a free t-shirt! There are usually spots left to register on race day, but it is a little more expensive.
The Races at Big Bear Paddlefest
There are multiple adult races throughout the day at Big Bear Paddlefest. Participants can paddle the 20K race or opt for the shorter 10 and 5K courses. There are also paddleboard sprint races and a relay. If you have family members 12 years old and under, they can participate in the Kids Fun Race.
Big Bear Paddlefest Prizes
The top 3 racers in each category will get a custom wood-carved award designed and created especially for the Big Bear Paddlefest by Elevation Culture! Plus, the male and female winners of the 20K race will get the grand prize of $500.
On Land
After the races, viewers and participants are invited to enjoy the beach party back on land. Gather around for the winner celebration, then enjoy yourself! Tents are set up along the beach for demos and paddling gear. 21+ can enjoy the beer garden, and all can enjoy the local goodies offered! There is usually BBQ, tacos, coffee, and more.
