The Big Bear Jeep Experience
The Big Bear Jeep Experience will take you to places you otherwise wouldn’t be able to reach in Big Bear. It’s a tour that combines the great outdoors, history, and excitement with a knowledgeable guide for an unforgettable experience. It’s one of the most unique, exciting things to do in Big Bear!
The best part is that you get to take the reigns and drive a Jeep off-road yourself! There’s nothing quite like the thrill of driving along trails over boulders and between trees as mountain air flows through the Jeep. You’ll be rewarded with beautiful panoramas of Big Bear different from the views you’d get from a hike.
You can choose from a few different packages, which vary in location, duration, and intensity. These include a 2-hour kid-friendly tour, an intermediate sightseeing tour, and four different advanced rock crawling tours.
All tours include a personal Jeep for up to 4 passengers, fuel, an additional guide Jeep with an experienced off-road guide, full instruction, and snacks and beverages. You’ll have everything you need for your adventure!
The Experience
The Gold Mountain tour is one of the more daring tours offered by Big Bear Jeep Experience. The Jeep is equipped with all the necessities needed to overcome off-road obstacles. Looking for an adventure like Big Bear rock crawling? You’ll get it on this tour—an adjective commonly used to describe it is “white-knuckle.”
If you have children with you or are not looking for quite as challenging of an adventure, there’s also a kid-friendly off-road mining tour available. You’ll enjoy a tour of the Holcomb Valley, where you’ll see historical sites and structures. At the end, they’ll receive a bucket of miner’s dirt—who knows what treasures might be hidden inside!
