The Alpine Pedal Path

If you’re looking for a relaxing way to enjoy the scenery of the Big Bear, head on over to the Alpine Pedal Path! This paved walkway hugs the north shore of Big Bear Lake from the Stanfield Cutoff to the Big Bear Solar Observatory. The length of the Alpine Pedal Path is just over 5 miles, but you can go at your own pace.

There are all kinds of ways to experience the Alpine Pedal Path! One popular way is to ride a bike down the path. As you ride along, you’ll be awed by the beautiful views of the surrounding alpine trees, mountains, and Big Bear Lake. Go on a nice day, and your trip will be accompanied by a deep blue sky with billowing white clouds and fresh mountain air.

There are several picnic areas along the Alpine Pedal Path, so you can catch your breath as you take in the views of Big Bear Lake. Since the path is paved and there is not much of an incline, it’s a great stroll for everyone, including the pup!

After you’ve walked the length of the Alpine Pedal Path, you can stop by the Big Bear Solar Observatory, or continue walking to the Discovery Center.
